- A coarse grind is the solution
We had problems with coffee grounds getting all over the lid and inside where the water goes. Quite a mess and cleaning nightmare. We were asking for a medium grind when buying coffee. It was getting to the point where we were making less than 8 cups to avoid the mess. I called customer support and the person I talked with was very nice and sent us a new basket. Still had the same problem. So, my husband went to a place where he could grind the coffee himself. He goes a couple of notches above medium ... Read More

- Cuisinart Coffeemaker
I am very happy with my Cuisinart coffeemaker. I was pleasantly surprised as my order was shipped almost immediately after I ordered it. It came very well packaged and the coffeemaker works great. I love the programmable capabilities and the carafe is easy to pour from with no spilling. Great product and very efficient company.
Rating: - no complaints so far
So far this works great. Good tasting coffee and very hot. No leaks, timer works great, easy to fill/clean etc. It does exactly what is it supposed to do and does it well. The cups are very small but I take that into consideration. I think their cup size is 4.5 oz.

I recently bought a Black and Decker coffemaker from Walmart and returned it because it made a weak, watery brew. The Cuisinart DCC1000BK makes a fabulous cup of coffee that is perfectly brewed. It stays hot on the warming plate and retains its flavor without becoming bitter.
