My husband had an earlier model of this Panasonic shaver, and had it for years until it just gave out. We looked everywhere for the original shaver and no one carried it any more. Father's Day and his birthday were coming up so I went hunting on the Internet and finally found this one and bought it. He's used it almost every day and is really happy with it. So far so good. So far, very good performance from this trimmer.I'm still on my 1st 6-hour battery charge!Only wish is that there was a slightly shorter setting than the lowest one (of 6) that it provides.For purposes of maintaining a beard, I can't imagine using the very long settings.But it's a good cut and pretty easy to clean.

This the second ER389K that I have purchased.The first one lasted over 20 years.I especially like the fact that it has a built in charger.It's a great beard trimmer.

heres a tip if you want a closer trim or shave. remove the blade head and bend the two springs that guide the cutter blade.using a flathead screwdriver i pushed down on the spring right were it is bent, and flattened it a little bit at a time, while checking the overlap of the top and bottom blades.i stopped when the blades were just shy of zero overlap. its been a month, so far the adjustment has not changed and i get a closer shave.
