This electric food chopper accomplishes a food processor's principal function of chopping and mincing without having to haul out the big machine. It's just 8 inches high and 4-3/4 inches in diameter, and its 3-cup bowl is ample for many chores in a family household and most chores in a one or two-person household. I bought this to replace a 20+ year old version of the same product. That chopper was still working just fine until my son dropped the bowl and broke it. The motor was in tiptop condition but obviously it's impossible to find a replacement bowl for something that's been around so long.I'm really thrilled with how long it worked, soI wanted to replace it with a similar product. This is a super little chopper. Actually, the bowl is quite large for a chopper, which makes it better than the other "mini" choppers I've had. I don't really want a "mini," just something smaller and easier than the big food processor for somethings, and this totally fits the bill. Very user friendly and easy to clean. I bought this product after my baby refused to eat store bought baby food like Gerbers ect.
This was a good decision, as I could cook fresh vegetables, meats, fresh fruits and puree them to the consisitency needed for baby, and baby was getting freshly made food.He loved the fresh food!
I then would freeze individual portions of each food group-meats, fruits, vegetables in ice cube trays.I would thenpop out foods from ice cube trays, and freeze in zip lock-labeled baggies of each ... Read More

This item shouldn't be called a food "chopper". I was looking for a product that would chop my veggies because I cook them often. Mincing them, as this product does, does me no good. However, it is good at mincing.
