No stovetop is complete without a charming teakettle, and this Farberware Classic Tiburon makes a handsome as well as useful fixture. Created from corrosion-resistant, high-quality stainless steel, the kettle features an attractive bell shape with a flared bottom for efficient burner coverage and faster heating. It whistles clearly when water boils, and the lever-controlled spout locks open with a simple flip for easy pouring and filling. The kettle also fills through the tidy top lid. Farberware uses a stay-cool synthetic to make the piece's handles, arcing the top one high for finger clearance. One design element to note here--lifting and spout-flipping are possible to perform with one hand (flip down the lever with your thumb and pick up the pot) though not as simple as the trigger-style spouts on some kettles. - Love this teapot!
This teapot is great. It is the perfect size, and it has a pleasant --- rather than shrill --- whistle. I got it to replace an old model stainless Farberware whistling teapot that I loved for 18 years. What's more, this new teapot matches the new fixtures in my kitchen. As has been stated in other reviews, the functional design of the base allows the teapot to be efficient in boiling water, and the design of the handle eliminates the need for a pot holder.

I drink a lot of tea & shopped quite a long time before buying. This one really fits the bill. It's well built, not thin or flimsy and it heats quickly. I really like its large size. I usually fill it about 3/4 full and find that the water stays hot in the kettle for a long time ... no reheating for that 2nd cup 30 minutes later. 1. the whistling part was broken in a day!
2. the handle is just fixed and can't be moved. So uneasy to use and clean.

I stopped shy of giving this a 5-star review because I have not owned it for very long.But so far it's been great, you just have to be careful not to overfill it or the boiling water will splash out when you lift the whistle to pour.Speaking of the whistle, it's a loud, urgent sound that compels you to get the kettle off the burner as soon as possible!!The size (2 1/2 quart) was exactly what I was looking for and the price was unbeatable!In looking through retail stores, it was difficult to ...
