- Lids suck.
I bought a 4 set (2 small, 2 large) while the glass is wonderful for storage - these are NOT airtight - these are NOT leakproof. This is a disaster when packing lunches, or taking a dish to a potluck, or for simply storing foods. I have had them leak in the fridge when simply transferring them with leftovers from the counter to the fridge. When storing baked goods including breads, rolls, muffins, or cookies they dry out. Not acceptable.

I give this product 4 stars but the lids 2. I bought these to replace my plastic containers, because of the reports of toxic substances being released when you microwave in plastic.
I used to bring leftover dinner for lunch to work the next day. After repeated use in the microwave the lid expands. The lids no longer snap on securely. Liquids now leak out. I can no longer use them to take food anywhere. I still store food but have to be careful not to tip the container.

I have two different sets of these Deluxe Pyrex. The older set has blue/purplish lids and was a large combo set with rectangle baking dishes and a large round dish along with the smaller bowls.I bought those soooo long ago (8+ years ago, not even sure), and have only chipped one small oval bowl on the rim.I probably should throw it away, but I still use it as the damage is smooth, more like a shaving.I also have the newer grey lidded version, of which the bowls are identical in size but have a nicer ... These are the best?Glass so much better than plastic. The lids even have a vent for the microwave. They stack nicely together andcan go in the dishwasher and the lids still fit after the diswasher.
