This is a wonderful movie. I loved it since I saw it when I was a little girl. I have been searching for this movie and I finally own it. It is a movie that I am looking forward to share with my daughter.

From 1960. This artistic classic earned Hayley Mills a special Oscar for "outstanding juvenile performance." The 14-year-old disappears into her role as a joyful turn-of-the-century girl so completely she never comes off as too plastic or sweet. The ending of "Pollyanna" is corny, but the rest holds up. The 1941 Mickey Mouse cartoon that opened for film in theaters, "Nifty Nineties," precedes it here, too. Based upon the 1913 novel (1913) by Eleanor Porter.

I loved this movie as a child, and I still love it today!I bought it on DVD because I no longer own a VHS player.I love this DVD!It has so many extra features too that are wonderful!I love the happiness, or "gladness" portrayed in this movie!
