WMF Perfect Plus 6-1/2-Quart Pressure Cooker. Make a complete meal in this large, 8.5-qt. pressure cooker - a pot roast with vegetables or a southern-style chicken and dumplings. As your food cooks, it is being infused with the flavors and aromas from your seasoning and its own juices. Shorter cooking times and the tight seal cooking method preserve precious vitamins and minerals from escaping your food. The Perfect Plus pressure cooker provides efficient heat conductivity. The TransTherm sandwich base evenly transfers heat over the entire bottom of the cooker which makes for faster heating and better heat retention. With a Perfect Plus pressure cooker, your cooking is healthy, saving both time and energy and reducing cooking time up to 70 percent. The pressure cooker is made of 18/10 stainless steel and comes with a perforated insert and trivet. Ergonomic handles allow for easy, safe handling. - German quality for a feast in the kitchen
We have 6 WMF pressure cookers in all sizes and can put the meal on the table in less than 30 minutes from absolute scratch. 50% of the job is the tools! And this is a mighty fine cooking tool! Easy to use, easy to clean, ergonomic, safe, fantastic quality. Great "al-dente" of veggies, great for stews, soups, combination cooking at different levels in the pan.

This pressure cooker performs flawlessly and cleans up easily and beautifully.This cooker is rather tall, but I like that.If I brown meat or chicken in the pan before cooking, splatters are nicely contained.
This pressure cooker is very safe and easy to use---nothing like my mother's "scary" pressure cooker.
I have called WMF customer service (not because of a problem, but rather with questions re use) and I've found their customer service excellent.

I know that WMF Perfect Plus 8 -1/2-Quart Pressure Cooker is the best one on the market. I had one of the WMF cookers in the past. However, this particular product is smaller in size than I need and I was forced to return it.
Rating: - Good pot and a bad cook
I would not have bought this item if Amazon offered this unit for $100, for I've had various pressure cookers in the past that lasted worthy of that much money.What a pleasant surprise; It's been more than 2 years of regular use and abuse, and has not encountered any problem whatsoever.I'd not mind spending full retail price knowing that how well this thing is engineered and built.
