This was a gift for my adult son. He says that it should be perfect. I have no more information than that, as he lives 3000 miles from here.

- Terrible teaching material
I DO NOT recommend this book to anyone for learning. I bought it because of the biased positive reviews I read in that how great of a teacher this guy is. But the fact is he teaches you almost nothing in this DVD. I think Keith Wyatt owes a refund and appology to anyone like me who bought his DVD for the purpose of learning electric or any other type of guitar. I play some Classical So I am familiar. I was totally surprised when I reviewed his DVD. He is more like a salesman for a music store than ... Read More

My son enjoys this video, he can understand what the teacher is teaching. I would recommend for beginners.

If youve been playing guitar for years like myself but never got beyond a certain point, this DVD might help pull it all together. If youre a novice, you might make quick progress to begin with, but then find it escalates pretty fast, with a lot of the musical theory glossed over. A refresher sheet for chords might have been helpful included with the DVD. The practice tracks, while monotonous, were useful. Keith Wyatt clearly knows his stuff and makes for a pleasant companion as you get to learn electic ... Read More

This cd was just what I needed to start guitar by myself. It's has got the basic information to get the basic skills and then, some style exercises rock blues country, that once you get to play them you can say you are a guitarist. I'm not there yet. I can say it can keep you busy for about 3 to 5 months, one hour a day, there's lot of information in it.
Of course it leaves some of the work to you, so you can get sometimes frustrated, a human teacher would help to clear some things up.
