Amazon.com Review:
With a capacity of 2.36 ounces, this sleek machine employsstainless-steel blades to grind enough coffee beans for brewing up totwelve 5-ounce cups of percolator, drip, or espresso coffee. Thegrinder can be filled with beans and the amount of beans it grinds canbe selected with a dial that's calibrated by number of cups desired: 4,6, 8, 10, or 12. During operation, lights above the on/off button flashon the grind selector, indicating when the grind is coarse, medium, orfine, permitting the grinder to be shut off when the desired grind isachieved. The grind selector displays the words "coarse," "medium," and"fine" along with the brewing method appropriate for each grind:respectively, "perc" (percolator), "drip," and "espresso." Clad ingleaming black plastic with matte silver accents, the hourglass-shapedgrinder is thoroughly contemporary in appearance and has a rubberizedgrip and push-in cord storage. Rubberized feet prevent it from slippingduring operation. It carries a one-year warranty against defects.--Fred Brack

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GoJo
This little giant belongs in every coffee lover's home or apartment. Its main function is grinding coffee beans and its so described, but more about this product.

It features a set of three lights that light at different intervals during the grinding process and alerts the coffee lover when his grinds are ready for the coffee pot. Drip, perk, or whatever way you prefer to use the grinds, they are ground to your desired consistency. After a few pots of coffee you will know through experience ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Spice Grinder
I bought this grinder because apparently the one from KitchenAide (I think) was discontinued (you know, the one with the tall metal cup...). Any who, I do like this one a lot for spice grinding (I don't drink coffee). The grounds are a bit on the chunky side even after grinding it for a while. I have never freshly ground my spices until this product, so it may just be a lack of experience issue on my part. Still, I didn't give it 5-stars because it didn't make it explicit on how to work with spices in this ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Works great, but not what I wanted
Well, the grinder I wanted was a burr grinder, and this isn't one.I thought it was because it can grind to different levels or "coarse-ness", but that is because you just grind longer. I kept it anyway. Now the good:

The unit is very quiet as far as coffee grinders go; I do not have to worry about waking up the kids having my morning coffee. Also, it does not generate ANY static on the grounds, which is a real pain with other grinders.

I would have given it 5 stars, but I was a ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best thing next to a burr grinder
I've had this grinder going on 5 years and have never had a problem with it.Yes, you have to hold the button down, but its easily done while wrapping your hand around the whole unit.It gets fresh beans to a coarse grind in under 10 seconds.Another 10, and you're at espresso fine. The cup has measurement indicators on the side which are nice.I've used the espresso grind in one of the mass-market espresso machines pretty often, and its just fine for home use.I just started getting into french press ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Old faithful! No Mess!!
We've had the DeLonghi grinder for almost three years. It still works perfectly! We're especially pleased that it's a very clean grinder. Comes with a one year warranty although we never had to use it. Would definitely purchase again.
