Instead of cuttingdown through a lid, as conventional openers do, it smoothly cuts alongthe side of a can's rim. - Not worth the money in the long run.
I've had this can opener for a few years now.Use it once or twice a week.Worked fantastic when it was new.About a month ago it stopped griping the can well.I cleaned it thinking that maybe that would help, but to no avail.Great concept, nicely executed, but longevity is not good.

Bought because of America's test kitchen review.Its function/use is even better then they stated. Best and safest can opener I have ever used.Well worth the price.

I have wanted one of these for a long time but, I was never willing to get off my wallet that much for a manual can opener. My 13 year old can opener was starting to fade so I decided what the heck, treat yourself. I am Very happy with the purchace and yes it is a neat little gadget but some time I still think its alot of money for a can opener.

I bought this gadget at a local Sur La Table store and thought it was a pretty interesting device. It worked quite well, too, once I got the hang of it. Six months later it appeared to be stripped (as another reviewer described it) and would not open a can anymore.
I didn't like the idea of owning a defective, expensive kitchen gadget, so I e-mailed Rosle USA. The first reply: "We do ask that you bring the item back to the original place of purchase for a replacement." Then a different ... Read More

What can I say? This is simply the smartest, best-engineered product of its kind I have ever seen. I lived with Swing-away can openers for years and found so-called high-end competitors for the yuppie foodie trade rarely as good and much too expensive. The Rosle, however, is different. It works better than any manual can opener I have ever used; it leaves the lid to fit right back on the top of the can for storage in the fridge, and it dulls the cut edges to make the cans and lids safer to handle or ...
