The J-4000 needs to preheat for 15 minutes and then takes at least another 5 minutes to make steam so I can't use it without thinking ahead.It puts out a lot of steam and I have scorched myself many times so I've started wearing gloves when I steam.That seems to be working.
I am able to steam a lot more clothing than I was able to tolerate ironing.However, the final product is definitely not as good as ironed.I'm still glad I purchased it though.Thought I could use it to do ... Read More

This is the best product I have ever purchased.I have had several others but none compare. It heats up fast and gives a steady stream of steam, does not go on and off like others I have purchased in the past. Owning a retail bridal business we steam hundreds of gowns each year, this is by far the best product for the money!

My wife has brought two of these steamers home for me to fix. The problem is the plastic, water level indicator. It cracks. I'm surprised no one has brought this issue up. I used silicon on the first one, but its leaking again. The store owner contacted Jiffy and they sent her a new one, free. After about 6 months, this one also cracked, with water leaking out of it. This one is completely unfixable, with about 12 separate cracks in the little reservoir. They need to work on this issue, in my opinion.

Jiffy Steamer J-4000 Pro-Line Series Garment Steamer. I had purchased a cheaper model only throw away $100. The jiffy unit has a web site you can buy parts and it really works. worth the extra money! don't waste your time with all of the other plastic junk out there. Enjoy!

I purchased this product over the less expensive ones in order to get my hanging drapes really steamed out with a professional look.It didn't work....or, it might have if I'd have had several days and countless hours to stand with the small head barely moving over every inch of the fabric.It's also very heavy once filled with water.I haven't even bothered to try it on clothes, because I can't see that it would be any better.The big disappointment was the manufacturer will not allow returns on any ...
