They reduce cadmium, cryptosporidium, giardia, lead, mercury, asbestos, copper, zinc, and sediment 96 to 99.99 percent; plus lessen chlorine levels and discoloration.
PUR’s filters are made with activated carbon to reduce chlorine and sediment, and include an ion-exchange resin that helps eliminate lead and copper. For best results, filters should be changed every 40 gallons. While PUR filters rid water of many chemicals, coloration, and bad flavors, they do not soften water or remove fluoride. I never realized how awful the water in Los Angeles tasted until I purchased this filter.A must buy for anyone who drinks tap water!

I can't get along without the Pur system.These filters were shipped quickly and are reliable as far as I can tell.

I like to buy the PUR water filters in a multi-pack to save money; I think when I buy several at a time like this I should get a better price than if I bought only one. When I couldn't find my expected bargain at the local discount store (TARGET) I resorted to the internet. I expect to buy these filters via the internet from now on.
