However, for newer dialing systems (presumably designed in response to the success of the previous Telezapper model), the TZ 900 offers an advance three-tone mode. To change the mode, unscrew and remove the protective case and then slide a recessed switch. (We suggest that Privacy Technologies put the switch on the outside for their next model.)
For the most part, regular callers are unaffected by the Telezapper, but it may "zap" calls from other organizations that use the same predictive dialing technology (such as charities, pollsters, and automated emergency weather systems) and from callers who use certain types of calling cards. - STOPS THOSE 800 CALLS
Great product, it really does help stop those 800 calls, since I've used it I don't get the 800 calls any more. I used to get them every day, several times a day. Wow, I was suprized but it really works!!

I PURCHSEAD A TELEZAPPER AND A TELEBOUNCER TB-1000 . I ALLEDABOUT THE TELEZAPPER NOT WORKING , WAS THEBATTERYWASPROBABLY DEAD , BECAUSE THEY HAD BEEN ON THE SHELF FOR SO LONG .
WAS ALSOTHATTHEY DID NOT WORK ANYHOW BECAUSE TELEMARKERTERS HAD FOUND A WAY AROUND THEM .
THE TELEBLOCKER SEEMEED TO WORK AT FIRST , BUT THEN I FOUND THAT IT WAS BLOCKING ALL CALLSTHENWOULDNOTEVENGIVE ME A DIAL TONE TO DIAL OUTMYSELF .

Installed it properly. The calls increased. After removing the device, the calls actually went back to their normal rate. Same for my neighbor who bought this device. If there was a No star rating, this would be the item for it.

I ordered the TeleZapper thinking it would help with some of the calls we have been getting. I had one a long time ago and I knew that whenever you picked up the phone, you would hear the tone that was transmitted to the person/company/machine on the other end.This one didn't give out any tone. Not in the basic or the advanced modes.I wrote to the seller and they quickly sent out another one which was great. I would buy from them again.The problem is that the second one is just like the first. ... Read More

We were receiving ALOT of calls to refinance our credit cards, and other gimmicks and scams.Seemed like they all started on Jan 1, 2009.
Since we plugged this in we are receiving far fewer calls. NOTE: its very important that you continue to pick up the calls for awhile, even though your caller ID tips you off as that's the only way the device can work.
REMEMBER not to say anything for a few seconds after you pick up or the auto dialer will connect the call to the annoying rep befor the ... Read More
