Like the handcuff king it's named for, the Metrokane Houdini lever-style corkscrew works so easily it practically defies explanation. The Houdini was designed by the innovative company that created the Rabbit corkscrew, and is both simple and effortless to use. Just close the side handles over the neck of the bottle, pull up, and--voila!--the cork's removed. Another up-and-down movement pops the cork off the corkscrew. The Houdini cork screw is easy to use and performs as advertised although it requires a little more muscle that the ads would lead you to believe.

I cannot believe I spent so much time using those old bottle openers. I think it got to the point that I didn't even want wine because I would have to deal with it.
This device is a breeze. So simple, so easy.
Package is nice, good for a gift. Delivered in usual fast time by Amazon. Only issue was the day after I got it, I saw it for cheaper at Kohl's. Ah well.

In my opinion, the display ad for this item was for a "Rabbit" cork remover.We have all read such good reviews of the Rabbit, and how it lasts forever.I believed that we were buying a plain model of Rabbit, it isn't, it appears to be an inexpensive copy, plastic components, and no better than the no name knock-offs.I emailed Metrokane, the Vendor, asking about the difference from the real Rabbit, received no reply.I'm sure that this model will be in the trash in a few months, just like it's ... This is a wonderful product.The foil cutter that comes with the set works effeciently to remove those foil wraps on the wine bottles.The corkscew is fast & easy.It removes the cork with no effort.A good investment for the money.
