Amazon.com Review:
Lunch takes on a whole new dimension with this sandwich grill.Layer cheese, tuna, veggies, mushrooms, or whatever is desired betweenslices of bread, set on the deep-pocket grill, and close and lock thelid. Sandwiches come out perfectly browned and sealed, with a diagonalindentation making them easy to slice in half. The grill cooks one ortwo sandwiches at a time, and also turns out waffles and omelets. Thenonstick finish keeps food from sticking, although a little butter oroil also helps. A red light comes on when the grill is plugged in andheating up; a green light announces the grill is ready to use. Toclean, simply wipe off the grill plates when cool. The grill measures 9by 9 by 3-1/2, and is covered by a three-year warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Disappointed
I was very disappointed with the Cuisinart Sandwich Grill,
because I thought I ordered a Panini Maker.
Also I thought the price was $19.00 as it stated there was no
shipping charge.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not Reliable
When this worked, it was the most popular appliance in our house. We used it for 3 months.Every weekend we made sandwiches for a family of 5.It was wonderful - very easy to clean up.Then one day, we couldn't get it to heat up.Several other people have commented on the light coming on and it just not heating up, which is what ours did.So, thinking we just had a bad one, we got another one at the store. The 2nd one only lasted a week before it started doing the same thing!!!We are so ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It's grill-tastic
I got this grill as a gift for reaching a service anniversary milestone at my company, so aside from the years of toil, it was completely free.I've had it for about a week now, and I have to say, I love this thing. On my first attempt, I heated up the grill, sprayed a little olive oil on the plates, and loaded 'em up with some English muffins, egg, cheese, and rosemary.Delish.The muffin breakfast sandwiches cooked up perfectly, and aside from a little spilled egg in the crevices of the unit, ... Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - careful with cheese
I've used it once so far (and plan on using it more), but I sprayed the maker with non-stick spray (i'm not sure if I should have), and I noticed that when i put sliced cheese in the sandwich, it drips through the back (especially if using deli meats, as deli meats carry juices that can make the cheese drip more.It doesnt grill the sandwich perfectly (some sides darker and other sides softer), but it does a pretty good job.I assumed to click the sandwich maker closed completely shut while making ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Decent
Not as bad as I expected for the price. As other reviewers have noted, the fixed hinge is a tad annoying. Sandwiches come out a bit smashed if you put much in them. Heats and cooks quickly, no plastic taste. Buy a toothbrush to clean the hinges/screw holes because you will get cheese in them eventually.
