Amazon.com Review:
Dogs as well as cats can be taught to press this paw-shaped transmitter to signal when they want to go out or come inside. Using FCC radio frequencies, the remote control paw activates the wireless doorbell up to a distance of 100 feet, and can be set to a chime choice of ding-dong or dog bark. An extra paw can be placed near every door in the house, indoors or outdoors (protected from the elements), either set on the floor or wall-mounted. The sturdy plastic paw measures 5 by 4 by 1-/3/4 inches, and requires one 9-volt battery (not included). The chime requires three AA batteries (not included). Lentek covers the pet doorbell with a two-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

- Only 3 stars?
I DIDN'T buy this product at first because of the lower reviews.I bought the Tell Bell instead.See my review of Tell Bell, and you'll see why I bought this product after all. Because of some of these reviews, I bought this product (the chime), plus the "extra" Paw Pad.When I received the package, THIS product did arrive with both the pad and the chime unit. So, I wound up with an extra Paw.That's ok.Better than not getting both parts.

- Rings randomly, basically usesless.
For the first several weeks, after my dog figured out how to use this product it was great.Unfortunately, after about 2 months it started acting up, where the receiver would chime at random times. As you can imagine this was quite annoying, and essentially made the device useless.
I don't recommend it.

- Great idea, wish it worked better
Before I bought this doorbell, my pet beagle had the awful habit of clawing at the outside door to get our attention. He practically ripped the door apart, so I looked for an alternative. I received my pet doorbell several weeks ago, and was thrilled with the idea that I didn't have to keep repairing the door. The product itself looks exactly the way it does in the picture, but I discovered problems with it right away. I first tried to ring the bell with it on the ground. It didn't ring. I thought it was ... Read More

- Doggy Doorbell
THIS is a great product! It can be used indoors, to let owners know their dog(s) want to go outside ..... or mounted in a dry, secure place outdoors, to allow the dog(s) to signal when they want to come back in from their fenced back-yard.It's pretty easy to teach the dog to hit the "keypad" with his nose, and the dog loves the fact that he can come back indoors when he wants .... instead of hyaving to wait till his owner gets around to it!
