Driving home her reputation as an Ani DiFranco for kids is the earthy "Running Down the Hill." "Shortnin' Bread," the Southern traditional, will compel kids to tie on aprons and tap their way across the kitchen floor. The Hawaiian thank-you number "Mahalo" and the Eastern "Boody Boody Ya Ya Ya" draw upon world music, but otherwise, Berkner's days of shaking her noodle head (a favorite dance ditty off an earlier disc) to the delight of 2-year-olds seem numbered. Rating: - Under A Shady Tree bears repeating
My three-year-old grandson listens to it daily, singing the words and dancing.I enjoy countless repetitions of the songs, which certainly isn't true of some of the other CD's he has in his collection. The themes capture the joys of childhood, from the title song to animals to car sounds.This one is a keeper.

I was a fan of Laurie Berkner from NOGGIN and was excited to purchase one of her CD's for my 4 1/2 year old daughter and 17 month old son.Little did I know how many songs on this CD would turn out to be our "favorite".The songs are very positive and easy to sing along to.Even Mommy joins in!We listen to it in the car every day.I would highly recommend this CD for families with young children.

We love this CD. My 2 year old listens to it most every night and can sing along with all the songs. Honestly, I enjoy listening to it at work. You just can't be stressed out if you're singing "Mahalo!"

This is a cute CD and my daughter loves Lauries voice. The songs are all kid friendly and silly, like they should be for this age. I would give this as a gift for anyone under 30 who has children, works with children, or wants to be a child for a moment.
