The coffeemaker brews up to 10 cups using afast brewing method that thoroughly extracts the rich flavor and aromafrom your ground coffee. The integrated Brita water filter alsocontributes to better-tasting coffee by screening out chlorine andother harsh minerals, plus it prevents calcification within the watertank. I got this coffeemaker when my old Braun (a model a step down from this- without the time feature) bit the dust after 14 years. To me, the coffee I get from a Braun is consistently better tasting than other models. Before I got this, I tried cheaping out and getting a Hamilton Beach that was onsale at Kmart,because I couldn't find a Braun in a brick-and-mortar store. After a week of the Hamilton Beach I ordered this Braun online because the coffee was tasteless, it took FOREVER to brew one cup, ... Read More

We love this coffee maker, we got rid of our very expensive cuisinart and got this instead. It makes much better coffee than the expensive models we tried. I do not like the gold filter but my husband does. We both agree that the coffee needs to go into a thermal carafe to stay hot and give the best flavor. Keeping the coffee in the pot on the burner makes it taste burnt. Always move to the carafe for a great cup of coffee. It does have a timer, but I do miss the buzzer when the coffee is done brewing, ... Read More

As a similar reviewer had experienced - I broke the carafe on my old Braun coffee maker. $25 for a new carafe vs $45 for a whole new coffee maker. I decided it was time for the new coffee maker.
Has not disappointed. Excellent coffee. Brews very fast. Love the swing out basket design. Love the included water filter. Love the included gold reusable coffee filter (very green / good for the environment).

My previous coffeemaker was the Braun 12-cup (FlavorSelect), which I had for 12 years.It was a great workhorse coffeemaker.Solidly built and reliable.When the warming plate cracked, I tossed it and blithely looked to replace it.Little did I know how hard it was going to be to find a comparable replacement!!

Compared to the 12cup Mr. Coffee this higher brew temperature does the trick making a goood cup. Easy to use with the swing-out top container,plus the container easily lifts off to dump the old grounds.Wife's only complaint the small pour spout.
