Wow, better than I imagined.It was seasoned perfectly, though I did scrub it down well and reseason it with oil and bake it in the oven for 30 minutes.make sure you have good pot holders,this beast gets and stays HOT.My first meal with it was chili...using steak I cooked in my Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker, along with smoked tomatoes and smoked onions.Yummmm.

I have used this pot many times and I love it.The fact that it was preseasoned was the biggest hit of all.I would like some more of these Lodge Logic products.I have been so impressed and have a friend that came over and took over my kitchen just so he could use this pot.I just might have to give him one for his birthday.It also cleans up very well which is a plus!

I primarily have used this piece for camping over the years, most often to make campfire chili, but other stews and meat/potato combo meals as well. Works great in the kitchen too, going from stove to oven, and as with all pre-seasoned cast iron cookware, cleans up easy enough with a good scrubbrush and hot water. I recommend a 5qt dutch oven, the stovetop two-burner griddle, and a large (13-15") skillet to fully enjoy the benefits of cast iron cooking. All are great for camping or home use on the ... Have made wonderful dishes in this pot. Soups,stews and casseroles. Great for browning on the stove top and placing directly into oven to bake.And cleanup is so easy.Just boil water in pan, wipe out, dry and oil.Never use soap and it will remain nonstick.And be sure to keep the heat down as cast iron heats up really well. Love this pot.

This is my first dutch oven, I read over and over all the reviews to make sure I was getting a good product.I have now made several recipes this week with chicken and everything came out great.Thanks everyone for the tips.
