- Oh, yes, they're very colorful, when they actually send them.
We ordered Zoobooks last Summer and I can't remember when we last saw one. I know that a few issues were sent, but one day I realized that there hadn't been one in a few months, and there hasn't been one since that realization. The few we got were thin but were indeed packed with colorful pictures. However, the money spent on the subscription, even had it been fulfilled, would be better spent on a quality full-color books about animals, with more information and sturdier binding. A subscription is two dollars cheaper at the Zoobooks site. It also includes a free poster and stickers. Just so you know.

When "Zoobooks" comes to the mailbox, all 3 of my daughters, 5, 7, and nearly 11 years old are ecstatic!They crowd around it reading it from cover to cover.They loves things like the mini posters and drawing activities as well.Each month the magazine focuses on one specific animal, or animal topic, and they know a month in advance what the following month's magazine will be about, so they eagerly anticipate it.Another favorite is the website that they con go on , only with the access code ... If you are thinking of ordering a magazine and want something that is a bit more National Geographic like and want to skip the ads, this is a good magazine to consider. A huge plus for this magazine is it is ad free.
Each magazine covers one animal, or one type of animal, with lots of information about the animal. There is usually a puzzle page, a centerfold spread with drawings, pictures, and detailed information about the animal and where it lives.

I have been ordering Zoobooks for several years for my grandson.He loves them.When we go for hikes on our city trails or to the zoo, he is always giving me information that he learned in Zobooks on the animals we see.I am fascinated with all the knowledge he has gained from Zoobooks.
