I have to say that the kettle is stylish and fairly well made. We had no problems with the lid, which secures well, does not get stuck and the incorporated whistle works well.
The spout is angled a bit too steeply, so pouring is a bit straining on the wrist. Water comes out a bit slowly and tilting further will just cause for some drops to escape from the lid.
The biggest gripe is with the metal screen that holds the ball in the spout. The ball seals the spout when boiling so that the ... Read More

This pot Broke into two parts! Thank goodness nobody was hurt. I saw the pot looked funny while I was filling it and realized the top portion of the pot was seperating from the bottom. Called Copco and they are sending me a return lable. We'll keep you posted.

The high position of the spout on this product means that the kettle must be tilted to an extreme degree to pour from it, especially when the kettle is less than half-full.As my wife painfully discovered -- when tilted too far, the top can easily fall off.This exposed her to a cloud of scalding steam which burned and blistered her hand.Other tea kettles we have used in the past have tops which fit snugly enough to prevent this possibility.The fact that the Copco kettle's top is loose-fitting ... this tea kettle looks nice and everything but it barely whistles (sometimes not at all). i'll turn the stove on, sit back down to read a book or whatever and 15 minutes later i'm wondering why the hell the water hasn't boiled yet. why the hell won't it whistle?
