I bought these for a new plasma in a side room.I use them with a Pioneer Tivo series 2 and they serve my purpose.I don't know if a lesser cable would have sufficed.

- You can EASILY get better cables for $200 (or even $100), but NEVER for $20!
I have used Monster Cable for many years. The quality is very high and Monster is always a great value. As an audiophile, I easily notice a differences between $40, $80, or $160+ stereo-interconnects. But I STARTED with a pair of $40 "Monster Series-400 mk.II" cables and was ASTONISHED at the superiority of these cables over the unshielded factory cables. I recently started purchasing monster cable products from Amazon's retailers to upgrade my stereo. Their RCA cables may be a thing of the past soon with the advent of HDMI and fiber optic cables. My stereo is 20 years old and consists of seperate components (preamp, power amps, EQ, range expander, CD/DVD player etc) so I needed some heavy duty cabling to replace the old thin "no name, no blame" connector cabling.
