Yes, the P5 out of the box has its shortcommings. It is eratic on all 6 degrees of freedom and not very usefull with games or any software for that matter. I have honestly never got the thumb bend sensor to work. The thumb sensor wouldn't be all that usefull anyways due to the fact that the thumb is 3d and not 2d so you would need 2 bend sensors. Oh, the finger sensors are not based on fiber optics but a technique that detects deformation of a metal strip. The "0,0,0" position is the center of the ... Read More

I haven't gotten this yet, I just ordered it this morning, so I'll edit this if I have to.I did some research on this item.Most of the reviewers here that are negative are mostly using this item for FPS GAMES.What appears to me, is, that this isn't JUST for games, but for other things, like, 3d modelling, music creation, animation, etc.I'll be using it for all these once I get my hands on it ( literally, lol ).Of course I'm going to try it for games as well.

I bought this with doubts, and they proved to be well founded. While not an unpleasant experience it was difficult to get this to work right. It came with Hitman so I wasn't to mad.

When I bought this, I made a deal with myself: I know that since it went off the market, it can't be an incredible product, so if I buy it, I shouldn't blame myself if I spent $20 on something I may never use again. Making this deal was worth it.
