Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Four years old and still top of the line
This is about the most perfect GPS ever made.I tried to replace it recently, but I couldn't find a newer model that offers what this model does. It's small, light, waterproof, and cheap. It also gives me a 10000-point tracklog and is easy to use.

Maps are something you should buy on paper because paper will still work if you are out of AAA batteries.

The downside is that this thing really needs a place to attach a lanyard.Beyond that, this is a great GPS.I've had ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Geko 201 Handheld GPS
This is my second Geko 201. I use the product primarily in confirming stopping points during trips to surface faclities of coal mines. The Geko fits conveniently in my shirt or jacket pocket. I have learned how to angle the screen of the Geko in my hand so that I can take a digital image of the long-lat-elev-date-time readings for my record keeping purposes. The product works well in the USA and internationally and is relatively trouble-free, ... although I had to send my first Geko back to Garmin to ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great gps a+++++
This is a great gps. It is amazingly small and it was a LOT smaller than I thaught. I've only put one set of batteries in the gps and it's lasted 1 month of almost daily use on 1 bar of battery. The only problem i've found is that the screen seems to take longer and longer to transition to the next screen the colder it get's. I've only been able to test it at 30*Farenheight. I highly suggest getting this gps, especially if you'r going to use for biking, geocaching, hiking, or just wondering around, not ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Wrong Item was sent to me
This is not the item I received. Instead got some crappy friction material that had nothing to do with a GPS. Company that shipped it said Amazon listed the wrong item and offered to refund all my money plus shipping.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I like it, but it's hard to get to know
This is a remarkable unit - the way that it reads through the trees in the woods - pretty impressive, but it is complicated (to me) to make it do all the things it's capable of. I got it for the enhanced reception and use just the "breadcrumb" trail, but it can do a whole lot more. So for those of you out there that need a unit that reads through forest cover on your weekend walks at the local state park, this is the one. You'll never get lost again. I like to go off-trail and haven't gotten lost since ... Read More
