An aluminum core in the base of each piece offers fast, even heat distribution. Encapsulating this core with stainless steel means your cooktop, sink and counters are not as likely to get scratched. Soft Touch silicone provides the handles with greater comfort, as well as heat and slip resistance. This skillet has a non-stick interior, facilitating food release and clean up.

I bought this pan at the recommendation of Cooks Illustrated. We've had this for several years and never had a problem with it. The nonstick surface is practically like new. We owned one of these skillets before and had to replace is because the bottom flaked and had a dark residue that we couldn't remove with the gentle cleaners we used. With the new pan we read in the care instructions that we weren't supposed to use nonstick spray (Pam) on the pan. Since we have obeyed that rule we have had wonderfully ... Read More

I love this pan SO MUCH I purchased 7 more in all 4 sizes!I've used them daily for over 2 years now and have no problems.The heavy bottom heats evenly and well.The stainless outside scrubs up easily. The pan is heavy, solid and well-made.The handle is comfortable, cool and slip-proof.The no-stick coating on mine is holding up just fine with the usual precautions.HOWEVER, I did choose mine carefully when purchased, as I did notice vast inconsistencies in the quality of the no-stick coating.I find ... This is the best pan I have ever had. I have bought Emeril, the Green pan and a grill pan from All Clad. They were never as good as this pan. Nothing sticks, not even american cheese. I can make my eggs in peace now. I also bought the 10". Very easy clean up. Very even cooking.

Two years ago for Christmas my husband purchased this pan for me after I gave him a few suggestions.We were so pleased with it's performance that for Christmas last year I bought him both the 12" and 10" skillet.We still use the pans nearly every day and I've not had any trouble with the non-stick. We even wash them in the dishwasher and use cooking spray in them with no problems.We treat them like any other dish and they have held up well.In fact, the ones we bought last year still look brand new.

- Non-stick coating doesn't stay non-stick
Like others, I bought this pan based on early good reviews. The pan is big and heavy and heats very evenly. The rubber insert on the handle is nice, making it possible to pick up the hot pan without a pot holder.
The critical problem is in the failure of the non-stick coating to keep its properties. When I first bought the pan, it worked beautifully. However, after just six months, the coating was not performing as well as before. After a year, the pan is just like any other skillet, requiring a good ... Read More
