Album Description:
Paris Under A Groove features a cast of new cutting edge artists from France, who are referred to here as "stylistique," artists. This album is the first release in the Under a Groove series. This compilation is the full-length exclusive debut for these prolific future funk artists who are generating a buzz in the clubs, lounges and on radio in Europe and the States. Paris Under A Groove offers up 73 minutes of various electronica styles. Another exclusive release in the series is the album, San Francisco Under a Groove.
After spending some time in France over the course of three years, this music was carefully compiled, mixed and sequenced by Chad Newhouse to create one musical journey. This album consists of three parts; Cocktails (downtempo electro-funk), Party Grooves, and Late Night Groove tracks. The new sounds of Parisian artists and St Germain provide a great soundtrack to any party night, or drive. Take a trip to Paris with Paris Under A Groove.

- Great Compilation
I was surprised that someone else mentioned this is a great album for driving. When I take the bimmer for a drive to the lake which is about an hour away, this music is the music that will be playing. Great jazz fuzion without being too pretentious and perfect background music for a party or of course the drive... Consider this recommended!

- Raw, unrefined, and quite fun!
Raw, unrefined, and quite fun. French electronic is unique in its mix of modern beats with classical bend. Some songs quickly become different midstream. The mix is unique for those who appreciate music on an ADD level.
I had to listen to the CD several time to get a grip of the newness of this sound. Afterwards, it all became quite clear - and quite addictive too!
Florian offers by far some of the best beats in the mix. `Funky Housy Hoover', `Vent D'ame', and `Spleen Part ... Read More

- loungy beats for beautiful people sipping martinis
What a great album. Perfect for bridging that section of the night between cocktails and candy. If you're a fan of the Nordic Lounge series you'll love this, and so will your guests. Four big fat stars from me.

- Awesome music!
I've only had this for about a month, and it has already become one of my favorites!Very relaxing, without being boring. That is something that most mellow music can not pull off -
Before I bought it, I expected all of the lyrics to be in French.Much to my surprise, no French words were on the album. This is not a bad thing, but this is something that wanna-be listeners should be aware of.
Rating:
- Great Ecstatic Serenity and Danceability
This is a CD without a bad track. It sounds well-made, classy, carefully chosen, etc. It's 2006 and it feels newer still with breathes of fresh starlit-lively dreamy Paris cityscape groove. It has a sort of a dance-oriented, upmood Airy accent but differently French too (maybe a bit more mainstreamably-listenable).
