These headphones come in a handy case which accommodates one's ipod along with the purchased items.The headphone pads are comfortable but the unit applies too much pressure on the ears to be comfortable for any length of time.The sound is good but the noise canceling is not as effective as I thought it might be while riding on the train.The side pads on the headband help with the comfort level on the top of the head.

Noise supression function is soo cool that you would not believe it. It supresses all background noise so efficiently that it makes you uncomfortable for first several uses. The quality of th sound is superb.

I have owned these for years.
The sound is wonderful.The noise cancellation, while not quite as good as Bose (which are 4X the price), is excellent.
Overall these are a tremendous value.

I received "Sennheiser PXC 250 Active Noise Canceling Headphones" as my Bday gift from my friend...and it is the best gift I could have got. It has simple and no nonsense design. The headphone nice fit the ears. Mind you its not wrap your whole ears. Just enough ...optimum.
First, I used it without its noise canceling feature and its performance was good. But when I put two AAA batteries in the holder provided...it rocked !! Simply Amazing.

I purchased two pairs of the Sennheiser PXC 250 for a trip chicago to rome. Given the long duration of the flight, I felt it would be worthwhile to use noise canceling headphones to make the flight tolerable.I found these headphones to fit the need. Although there is still some background noise, the difference between having these headphones on with noise canceling on and not is very significant. I would recommend these headphones highly as they are affordable and effective.
