Product Description:
Endorsed by none other than the legendary French chef Paul Bocuse (the only restaurateur in the world to be awarded the prestigious Michelin 3 Stars for over 36 consecutive years), Cuisinart's Chef's Classic stainless cookware is high quality, yet affordable. Unlike many lines of cookware, this can go in the dishwasher for clean up, yet the aluminum core within the base provides even and efficient heating. Any cook would be happy to have this nicely crafted pan on hand for sauteing and frying. The stainless steel interior is non-reactive with food and it's also tough enough to withstand the use of metal utensils. True browning is very difficult with non-stick interiors, so many chefs insist on using a traditional pan such as this. The large 12" size is ideal for cooking pancakes, chicken breasts, pork chops and more.
Amazon.com Review:
Sauté mushrooms or brown sausages to perfection in this classic 12-inch Cuisinart skillet--the sloped sides are ideal for tossing and turning small pieces of food. Made of professional quality 18/10 stainless steel that won't react with acidic foods, the skillet features a tapered rim for drip-free pouring and a riveted, cast stainless-steel handle that's contoured for an easy grip. The skillet's mirror finish retains its brightness through dishwasher, freezer, broiler, and oven use up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. For superior, even heating, an aluminum disk is encapsulated between two layers of stainless steel in the base. Cuisinart covers the skillet with a lifetime warranty.--Ann Bieri

- Very good pan
I use this pan mostly for sauteing and it does an exceptional job. It cleans up very well most of the time. If you need to you could use an approved stainless steel cleaner. Bottom line I like this pan alot.

- Nice big pan
I bought this pan a couple of weeks ago.I bought it because when I tried browning a butterflied pork tenderloin for 6 people in a 12 inch skillet, I had to do it in two batches.Kind of a pain. I have used this 14 inch pan a few times since then.It does a great job of browning chicken breasts in oil even without flour and heats fairly evenly.I agree with other reviewers that the pan does not require as much flame under it to heat it to a good browning temperature.Very satisfactory for the ... - Big pan
I haven't actually used this pan yet, but I expect it will perform nicely when I do (I also ordered a 12" Cuisinart pan that is wonderful). I didn't realized how big a 14" pan is, but, let me assure you, it is HUGE. It's actually a little too large for my ceramic top stove, but I think I can make it work. If you have a normal-sized electric stove, a 12" pan is plenty large enough. I think this one would be better for a gas stove.

This is a LARGE and I mean LARGE skillet - was bigger than I was thinking but if you need to saute large quantity - this will certainly fill the bill.Very nice heat distribution.

- Cusinart Stainless Cookware
I expected this cookware to be pretty good... I am disappointed... The saute pans scorch, and are hard to clean.VERY unimpressed.Expected the quality of Cuisinart cookware to be much better.
