Product Description:
Endorsed by none other than the legendary French chef Paul Bocuse (the only restaurateur in the world to be awarded the prestigious Michelin 3 Stars for over 36 consecutive years), Cuisinart's Chef's Classic stainless cookware is high quality, yet affordable. Unlike many lines of cookware, it can go in the dishwasher for clean up, yet the aluminum core within the base provides even and efficient heating. This covered saute is useful for simmering, sauteing and skillet dinners. It's equipped with a helper handle to make life easier.
Amazon.com Review:
Braised chicken, stir fried vegetables, and caramelized onions cook to perfection in this classic 3-1/2-quart Cuisinart saute pan. Made of professional quality 18/10 stainless steel that won't react with acidic foods, the saute pan features a tapered rim for drip-free pouring and two riveted, stainless-steel handles, one long and one looped "helper" style. Sure-fitting with a wide, easy-grip handle, the Flavor Lock cover seals in flavor and nutrients. The pan's mirror finish retains its brightness through dishwasher, freezer, broiler, and oven use up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. For superior, even heating, an aluminum disk is encapsulated between two layers of stainless steel in the base. Cuisinart covers the pan with a lifetime warranty.--Ann Bieri

- Great Little Pan 7 Years Later
I bought this pan 7 years ago back in '02 and it is a great value. Mine has a copper core, not aluminum and the heat transfer is excellent. I don't think there is much difference between copper and aluminum cores since they are both excellent heat conductors, but I think copper has the edge.I find it does compare well to Calphalon One and All Clad but is not quite in the same league. The other two show more attention to detail and better craftsmanship and better customer service and do boast a ... Read More

- GREAT PAN, EXCELLENT VALUE
Had the pan for about 6 weeks. Still looks great. I really recommend Bar Keepers Friend to keep it looking new. Pan heats evenly and cooks very well. Use a little oil and TURN THE HEAT DOWN!! I think people who have problems are using too high of a heat setting.

- More useful than expected
I purchased this because it was highly rated by "Cooks Illustrated" and I haven't been disappointed. It's large deep sides are great, and it really holds the heat evenly and for a good period of time.I have not had to content with hot spots when simmering and once the pan is to temperature it holds the heat so browning is beautiful. The pan cleans-up well and the lid is tight and best of all the whole thing is oven proof.Great buy especially for the price.
