- 20 years and still great!!!
Just wanted to say I have loved using this pot for the past 20 years...most used and LOVED pot in my kitchen!Can't imagine cooking without it.
Rating: - Excellent ergonomics
I too ordered this pot based on the Cook's Illustrated recommendation, and I am not disappointed. As a vessel I use primarily for handling large volumes of liquid, it is ergonomically nearly perfect. The height/diameter ratio is just right, as is the weight for a pot that will have to be carried full to the sink and then maneuvered to drain. As CI notes, the handles on both the pot and lid are particularly large, sturdy, and well designed.

The stockpot is very well made.It has a nice, heavy feel to it.I imagine it will last forever.I can't see it falling apart.The stainless steel is very nice, but I have not been able to get it as shiny as it was when I first got it.But I will keep trying.
Rating: - Every kitchen needs a stockpot
An excellent quality stockpot at a good price. After juggling 3 smaller pots on my stove to make a party size quantity of chili I decided to get a bigger pot that could handle larger quantities. I found this 12 quart pot to be a great size for making double or triple recipes of soup or chili. Some to eat right away and some to freeze for later. Features I like are: it's stainless, the thick bottom, and a lip that allows you to pour without spilling.

I love this pot. I have tried I don't know how many stock pots in the past. Trying to find one that had the volume I needed but wouldn't scortch foods like chili, tomato sauce and stews. I never found one until this lovely pot. I also cleans up like a dream. I highly recommend it.
FYI Read and follow direction for use especially the heat and cleaning recommendations.
