As the only electric shaver with a four-way moving head, Braun's Syncro System is set apart from other models. Its head both pivots and oscillates to enlarge the foil holes by 60% more than on other Braun shavers, capturing more facial hairs in a single glide. Additionally, the Syncro Shaver's three-stage shaving system provides a closer and cleaner shave--the first foil shaves stubble and shorter hairs, the integrated cutter lifts and trims close-lying or curled hairs, and then the second foil shaves them off. An extendable trimmer also pops up for shaving longer hair, such as mustaches or sideburns. For added comfort and to reduce nicks and cuts, the head adjusts to the contours of your face.
The Syncro System operates either via a cord or cordless for up to 50 minutes (or two to three weeks of daily shaves) following a 60-minute charge. Smart Logic technology ensures that the battery is always operating at its peak. This is really a bad deal.The 7526 was first made 8 years ago and has since been followed up with 2 more Braun model series (the 8000 and 5 series).Price wise, this model is not much less than the subsequent models.
In fact, this reconditioned model does NOT come with the cleaning/charging base.On Amazon you can get this model WITH the charging base for about $1.11 more Braun 7526 Syncro Shaver System with Clean & Charge Storage Stand.I think it's quite clear that it would be ... Read More

Fantastic - this was the shaver I was looking for.I used a 3 rotary blade Norelco that never gave me a close shave for a long (much too long time).I used my dad's Braun and was so happy with it that I bought my own.I don't bother using the self-cleaning stand, so I just plug it in, wash it off, brush it clean and shave.And it shaves very, very well.No razor burn, gets all the weird hairs, super close and then I'm done for the day.

I suppose the shaver does what it is supposed to do. It's just that I have used a blade since my Norelco died 30 odd years ago and am not used to electric shaving. I was hoping that improvements in design might actually lead to a close, comfortable shave. But alas, all the bells and whistles do is give the same old sort of close, razor burn shave. Braun states in the directions to give it 3 weeks for your beard to adjust to the shaver as if using the thing will cause a physiological change in your ... Read More
