I was out walking Izzy, our dog, when I saw a rival smart pot sitting on the curb in front of a neighbor's house waiting for the trash truck. I picked it up and brought it home, plugged it in, and it worked great, getting nice and toasty. I couldn't believe someone just threw it away.

Rating: - If I could give this "Smart-pot" zero stars, I would.
Like most others, my Smart-Pot cooks way too hot on the low setting and turns meals into overdone mush in 3-4 hours.It's pretty clear there is a design flaw in the "smart" electronics and there should be a class-action lawsuit since this device was not cheap (compared to other crock-pots).Stay away!

I am quite mystified at the terrible reviews this crock pot has recieved. I bought the larger Crockpot SCVP609-KLS Smart-Pot 6-Quart Oval-Shaped Slow Cooker with Little Dipper, White for my mom about two years ago and we have used it numerous times to cook many things and have never once had any issues with it. I bought this smaller round one at a local department store and it performs just as well as the larger one.

Rating: - Water leaks off of the edges
The main problem I had with this crock pot is that water from the steam inside escaped outside the edge where the lid meets the stoneware.The water would collect around the stoneware edge but would not drain back into the crock pot.Therefore, the water would overflow down the side of the crock pot and onto the counter (could be firehazard).I tried to adjust the lid to every different edge of the crockpot, but that didn't work.Water still would sputter around the edge and collect there.
