Amazon.com Product Description:
The MZ-NF610 Net MD Walkman recorder provides unrivaled versatility, offering not only MD playback, but a special tuner for listening to AM-FM radio as well as TV and weather-band programming right from the remote control. The unit's SonicStage Jukebox software stores and manages digital music files, custom playlists, and music transfers, and bookmarking lets you program favorite songs in real time during playback. The MZ-NF610 offers high-speed transfer from a PC via a direct USB connection (up to 32x speed in LP4 mode) and can record more than five hours of music on one 80-minute minidisc (using LP4 mode). It also uses Sony's skip-free G-Protection technology, which eliminates or reduces skipping during many active uses. The MZ-NF610 is compatible with the RealOne music player and the pressplay.com online music subscription service. It plays back ATRAC3 files and supports multiple Internet audio formats, including MP3, WMA, and WAV.
The Easy Skip group-folder function helps organize songs into albums or groups. Once the songs are transferred to the MZ-NF610, it's easy to skip from group to group. Besides the bundled SonicStage software and SonicStage simple burner application, the MZ-NF610 includes MoodLogic software, which goes beyond typical jukebox applications, letting you compile music by mood or tempo rather than simply by artists and song titles.
MoodLogic corrects file information by identifying and retitling mislabeled tracks during ID3 tag cleaning. It also has a feature called Music Marker, which lets you "tag" music during playback. Once the device is reconnected to a PC, MoodLogic retrieves the marks, connects you to the Musiclub Web site, and provides information about the song and artist and links to download new tracks, purchase CDs, or discover similar artists. The unit provides up to 56 hours of continuous playback on one AA battery and comes with a rechargeable battery.

- Walkman is like the Silver Model, Comes with a radio. and High Speed
This Walkman is much better and good features, except it does not record
from the radio. This recorder is just like the MZ-NF510 CK that comes with a car kit.One thing different about it that it has a radio on the remote control. The radio works good, but the problem is that you cannot hear the sound better than if you connected to another radio source while recording, the volume control is on the remote control for the radio.Another thing about this model, is that it has high speed ... - great product, great mp3 alternative
I bought this little guy 2 years ago right in the heart of the MP3 player craze.Everyone I knew had an ipod or some alternative, which they paid $300-$400 dollars for.I did a little research and had always been curious about this technology since I had seen it in the mid-90's.After price and review comparisons, I picked up the Net-MD 610... and boy am I happy.
A friend warned me when I bought it telling me that he was done with anything that played an external media source (discs) ... Read More

- Fantastic!!
The greatest player I have ever purchased. I own two models. The MZ-n505 & the MZ-nf610 (type s) The MZ-n505 I use at work while I am on the job. I have had it for 2 years and it is still going. I have dropped it and god knows what else. I love having the option to put all of my music on a mini disk. Unlike the mp3 players where you have a limit or have to pay a fortune to expand it. And not counting these Ipods that are so small and delicate. The other model (MZ-nf610) that I have I use at home and comes ... Read More

Seller never sent the product. He said because of the Huracane and I placed the order two weeks before of the tragedy.

- Nice alternative to an iPod, especially for mic. recording.
This is my second NetMD unit, and I am very pleased with this one as well.Is it not as sleek or convenient as an iPod with regards to holding a large amount of music in one unit, but then again, it depends on your preference.I enjoy having different MiniDiscs with different artists, genres, etc, and my MD wallet (these unfortunately have since become extinct) conveniently holds everything. The battery life is unbelievable and the rechargeable capability saves you from dropping $ on AA's.The high compression ...
