The book has a few good make overs for the common women but it has way too many magazine over dramatic make overs which cannot be used to get out of the house unless you are going to a Halloween party. I feel that this book is worth no more than five dollars as you can probably get the same information for free on the internet.

This book CAPTURES talent, vision, and ability to create such mind blowing beauty. It also shows a number of his works, creations, and clients the people he has worked with over the course of his career. I have all of the books related to him and recommend them all to anyone who is in advertising, fashion, beauty, and commercial art industry. His story is one of struggles and accomplishments. I love Aucoin's work and I don't think they'll ever be one like him. He shows the art in make up but he makes it simple. The pictures of the wonderful transformations is reason enough to buy this book but the tips he gives are worth the purchase as well. I love the fact that he uses everyday women in his book as well, he illustrates that a make up is not as intimidating as it seems. I also love his stories about his connections to the models. When I ordered this book I got it in less that 24 hrs.That was the best delivery I have ever had.If it is all like that I will use amazon.com more often.The book is very good and informative and the pictures are excellent.It did what I need it to do at a very low cost and I bought it new.

I bought this book recently as required reading for a make up artistry course I'm doing. It's quite helpful. The photographs are awesome...full colour with great detail. It's a very good buy for any aspiring make up artist as there is a wealth of inspiration for possible creations! Aucoin is very engaging in his writing making the overall book quite a refreshing experience. Great buy at a good price. Definately worth every penny.
