I did a LOT of research on microwave ware before buying this set (don't ask me why for a $20 item.. just my nature I guess) I ended up buying the set rather than just the popper/lid and griddle and cover simply because the cost was about the same to go for the set.
I have considered this review for some time. I use an old (1990 and was a "close out" unit at the time 1.25KW GE microwave.. hehe). Consider that in my opinion if you like.

This popcorn maker creates the best buttered popcorn around.We have made popcorn almost every night since we got this set.I think the popper is our favorite piece.We have used the poacher, but it takes a bit of practice to get the eggs just right.This would be a great gift for a newlywed couple, a dorm room or a single person on their own.

I used to use the omelette and egg poacher cooker at a small coffee shop to sell breakfast items.This thing works so well that I bought my own to use at home.I haven't used the popcorn and bacon/sausage cooker but the egg cookers cook wonderfully in the microwave.Nice and thick material which makes this set durable!

Cover for bacon cooker was cracked, bacon cooker had a permanent black stain on it, egg-poacher broke during first use (very poorly designed hinges). Lid to popcorn bowl is ill-fitting. On top of that NordicWare does not answer their phones. Save your 12 bucks.

I am extremely pleased with these products. I purchased this set primarily for the popcorn popper and the omelet pan although I have used the bacon/meat rack as well.
The popcorn popper works great. I just put in the popcorn, let it pop and use a butter spray later to give the popcorn a buttery flavor. The instructions suggest not using any oil (it may stain the popper) but I called Nordic Ware and was told a little would be okay.
