Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the animation is sometimes breathtaking, and the music is more palatable than in many Disney features. I ordered this product on April 28 and still have not received it.I have emailed the sender twice with no response.I have never had such an experience with Amazon and certainly will not order from this particular vendor again.I wonder why other reviews have been so positive. This is totally unacceptable to me.

The circle of life. It's funny how an old African tale taken by Disney and made into this film captures some of life's truths and shows some of the great sadness and joy most people experience as they repeat the steps of those that came before.
Death and loss, love, birth, great friendship, responsibility, loyalty, betrayal, evil, bravery, and more are shown in the transformation of these creature characters as well as the land itself.

I ordered this movie and the first one that came didn't play correctly. It kept stopping and jerking through the movie. When I emailed the seller and told them the problem a second movie was sent with no issues. I received tip top service and the second movie plays. I highly recommend this seller.
