I own All Clad and Try ply and i think they both are very similar. This pan works great and i use it for many things{sometimes even frying}. Occasionally i clean it with Bon Ami and it looks brand new. I cook a lot and i think this pan really helps{i own two of these}. Beautiful and Useful and very easy to clean.

This nifty little pan can be used for everything from simmering veggies to creating chicken cacciatore for two. The glass lid allows the cook to see how things are progressing and whether the 'simmer' is too high or too low. Clean up is much easier than I had presumed - having grown up with aluminum and cast-iron pans in the 50's - especially with a stainless-specific cleanser. I reach for this little beauty nearly every day.

I bought this 2.5 quart shallow saucepan for ~$35 and I like it.The pan is 8 inch in diameter and 3.5 inch tall.The handle has a ~8 inch long.
You may be still deciding if stainless steel is for you.I don't believe every cookware should be stainless steel.For example, I believe a carbon-steel wok is superior to a stainless one and a cast-iron skillet is just unbeatable.Nevertheless, stainless steel is a good all-purpose material and should compose majority of one's cookware. ... I ordered this stainless steel pan, as I am gradually replacing my aluminum ones.I was a bit put off when I first opened the box and saw how shallow it was, but have since come to love it for that very thing.There's more pan surface on the burner, so water boils sooner. In general, everything heats up very quickly.The see through lid is great.And it's quite beautiful to look at.Clean up has been a breeze.If it gets a little stained-looking, I use Barkeepers Friend (found in the grocery store), ...
