Zojirushi Automatic Rice Cooker Warmer NSRNC10
Amazon.com Review:
This electric rice cooker from Zojirushi provides useful capacity and handy details, not to mention the ability to keep rice moist, warm, and fresh for up to 12 hours after cooking is finished. The cooker is a good size for small families or couples, handling between 1 and 5.5 cups of rice at a time and requiring cooking times ranging from 12 to 24 minutes. Operation is incredibly simple--just add rice and water, depress the power tab, and walk away. The lock-tight lid maximizes cooking conditions, and the cooker automatically switches to keep-warm mode when the rice is finished. Indicator lights help you track what stage your rice is in, and the removable nonstick interior pot is clearly marked in cups and liters to guide you with quantities. The cooker's durable housing has a low-key pastel floral design, and the inner lid and inner pot can both be removed for hand-washing. Clever extras on this model include a retractable power cord, a condensation collector, and a spatula holder. Zojirushi also throws in a measuring cup and spatula. --Emily Bedard

- GREAT RICE COOKER!
I received the rice cooker and began using it right away. We have used it about ten times now and each time it has cooked wonderful tasting rice. We have purchased different brands before and not liked them as much as this one. I highly recommend this one.

- Not as good as I remember
I purchased this rice cooker for my mom because I remember that she had a similar one when I was little and it made the BEST rice. The rice is not as moist as I remember it...if I change my mind about how the rice comes out I'll post an update but so far not impressed for how it cooks vs price.Same quality rice from the $10 cheapy cookers. However, it does look pretty on the kitchen counter.

- Works great
I have had this rice cooker for almost 2 months. It works great and makes great rice. It's on almost constantly. We eat rice every day and I make enough to have for the following day and it keeps it good the whole time, doesn't get dried out. I haven't had any issues with the coating coming off the pot. I sometimes wash my rice in the pot and not in a seperate bowl, an old habit I have been doing with my previous rice cookers. I love the fact it has a retractable cord, only take out the length you ... Read More

- A classic - has lasted us over 15 years!
An essential kitchen item you should add to your arsenal to make cooking at home even easier:
A quality rice cooker -
My wife is Korean and Filipino and she grew up with rice at the ready for almost every meal; she brought that tradition with her to our family so we have basically always had a rice cooker. These appliances used to be sort of hard to find, but now you can buy a good one just about anywhere.
My mother-in-law and father-in-law bought this "old school" ... Read More

- Best rice maker.
This rice maker has been the best that I've used.I've plunked down $20 for the Black and Decker special and have always gotten crispy rice on the bottom of the bowl.
Not the Zojirushi! This cooker is awesome, from the steam vent to the "dew collector" the little bells and whistles make it worth it.So far, we've gone through a 20# bag of rice with this cooker and each batch has come out perfect.
I think the pressure lid is what makes the rice cook so well. This cooker is also easy ... Read More
