The Wahl Groomsman Beard and Mustache Trimmer is exactly what you need to keep your beard in precisely optimal shape.

For daily beard maintenance or for making a big change to facial hair, Wahl's Groomsman trimmer is the device you need. The Groomsman's high-carbon steel blades are precision-ground to provide a close cut and stay sharp longer. A six-position beard regulator easily attaches to the trimmer's head to provide consistent and safe tapering and trimming of beards and mustaches. The six positions range from a height that tackles longer hairs, (for example, if you are shaving off your beard) all the way down to a short height for trimming daily stubble. For convenience, the beard regulator remembers the last set length height until you change it.
For additional comfort during shaving, the Groomsman has a contoured ergonomic handle with soft gripping pads for a secure grasp. The Groomsman operates either plugged in via its electric charger, or runs on its long-lasting nickel-cadmium battery which is estimated to last three to five years before needing replacement. The trimmer and charger are small enough to stash in the included pouch for travel along with the accessories--the beard regulator, the jaw line blender, two close-trim attachments, a mustache comb, cleaning oil, and a cleaning brush. My old Wahl beard trimmer died after many years of extraordinary service. I loved it and simply wanted to replace it. This one looked similar, and it allowed for the use of rechargeable batteries - a plus. This was nothing like its predecessor. It was really loud and rough, with ill-fitting and incomprehensible attachments.To top it all off, it did not do an even job, so the trim looked poor.I sent it back.Amazon was great, but I won't buy a Groomsnan again.I'm wondering about Wahl in general ... It's a pretty well built and overall usable trimmer, but the attachments are kind of a pain to use. There are two types it comes with:
1) There are several "fixed length" attachments which are easy to use, but aren't labeled and all look very similar.
2) There is an adjustable attachment which changes between lengths 1-5, but it is a pain to get on the trimmer and I feel like I'm going to break the thing when I change the lengths.

I had trouble with this product from the very beginning.The extension broke off within a day and now the razor is unusable.It remains that way to this day.

Works good to keep my goatee neatly trimmed.Lots more attachments than I will ever use, but I suppose that is by design for the trimmer to fit all applications.
I'd recommend.
