Product Description:
Instructor Rodney Yee calls out precise cues for proper body alignment, without a lot of chatter, as he leads this challenging hour-long session. Equipment: Mat. Running Time: 80 minutes.
Amazon.com:
Power yoga "demands your attention," says instructor Rodney Yee. He leads a challenging, constantly progressing series of poses, one flowing into the next, integrating breath, movement, tension, and relaxation. The poses include Sun Salutation, standing poses, forward bends, back bends, twists, and arm balances. The first poses are fairly easy, and with each repetition of the series, Yee adds on more difficult movements, extending the series without pausing. You're encouraged to do as much of the series that fits your level, up to the entire 65-minute workout if you're an experienced yoga practitioner. Although you can begin at any level, some familiarity with yoga is recommended. The Hawaiian setting is gorgeous and inspiring. This is an excellent yoga workout that you can grow with, adding on more as you get stronger. --Joan Price

This is an excellent workout. It is definitely not for a beginner unless you plan on doing a modification of the practice.

- The Best Yoga Workout Out There
I've been doing this workout every morning for the last 10 months and can definitely say Rodney Yee's Power Yoga Total Body Workout is the best out there for me.I've lost 50 pounds, am stronger, more alert, yet calmer than before I started.I cannot explain why, but I went from having chronic allergies to having none at all.My dentist also claims I found a cure for gum disease.I assume this is from the breathing. After starting this program I searched and bought several workout DVDs to mix ... - Too slow and has very little flow.
I recently bought Power Yoga, Total Body Workout and unfortunately it is very slow and has zero flow to it.
His motions are exaggerated and are not in a manner that anyone could follow easily if they wanted to really feel any breathing or streaching from power yoga.
The scenery where he is practicing is lovely but that's about it. Bummer.

- Great!
Great video.I am a beginner with Yoga and was able to keep up and transition throughout this entire session with ease.I did modify a few poses to my own comfort level but overall it was challenging enough to break a sweat, yet relaxing at the same time.Rodney's voice is calming and simple to follow, not over powering or annoying whatsoever.I didn't realize I had done the entire 65 minute workout until I was done and looked at the clock. It was incredibly easy to follow and flows very well. ... Read More

- Disappointing
I have the am/pm yoga video and really love it.I wanted something on DVD and went with this one because it had such great reviews.I was disappointed-the moves are very repetitive, I felt like I did one move over and over again for ten minutes.I did feel like it was a good workout, but was bored. I wish there was more variety in the moves.Other than that, I think Rodney Yee is great, and it was worth a try, but I don't think I'll be doing this workout too often.
