- TURKEY FRYER FOR HOME BREWING NEEDS, GREAT BUY
I purchased this turkey fryer kit with home brewing on the mind. I am a novice home brewer and this kit allowed for me and the fellow members of the Rat Bastard Brew Club to venture outdoors to brew beer, instead of in the cramped kitchen. This product allowed us to do a full five gallon boil, which provides you with a better product than a 3 gallon partial boil on the stove. The paint burnt off of the burner frame at first use but does not affect performance.The set did not include a wrench necessary for assembly which was inconvenient.The pot was dented but again performance is not affected.The instructions were accurate and clear.The bird cooked as described and was excellent.The set is versatile but uses A LOT of oil. Straining the oil after use for storage is a nuisance.It would help if the pot had a pour spout and came with a wide-mouthed funnel.Having ... Read More

- Damaged Pot
This item arrived with multiple quarter sized dents in several areas of the pot. The lip of the pot also had a slight depression on one sidethat affected the way the lid fit atop it.
The burner quality seems good (burner and accessories it included).
We're going to keep this item and try to punch out the dents, rather than deal with the hassle of returning it for a replacement - which may or may not have the same issues.

This is my first deep fryer and it's awesome!It was easy to use and easy to clean.The set contains everything you need, except maybe a fry basket which can be purchased separately if needed.We used it to fry our first turkey which turned out even more delicious than I expected.This was a very good fryer at a reasonable price and I look forward to using it for years to come.
