Amazon.com Review:
This set of three knives from R.H. Forschner by Victorinox makes an excellentgift for the home chef. The 4-inch paring knife adeptly manages most fruit andvegetable peeling, cutting, and garnishing; the 8-inch slicing knife carves theThanksgiving turkey and other roasts; and the large 10-inch chef's knife tackles amultitude of kitchen chopping, mincing, and slicing tasks. The Fibrox blades are made in Germany and hand-finishedin Switzerland. Providing a comfortablegrip, the triple-rivet, ergonomic POM (plastic over molded) handles are curved insuch a way so as to reduce wrist strain over long periods of use. While the knivesare dishwasher-safe, Forschner recommends washing them by hand and covers them witha lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects. --Ann Bieri

- very pleased with knives
These were the best knives I have used in many years. Extremely sharp! Recommend them to all who cook. I bought 3 different sizes and they balance nicely as you chop and cut and have great feel in your hand.
you will love them!

- Here's what happened...
I own a lot of knives, Shun, Kershaw Wasabi, traditional style chef's knives too. Saw these on the cooking show and figured I give them a try, the 3 piece set cost less than one of the other knives. I didn't really have high hopes for a stamped knife but the reviews were good. Anyway, when they arrived I inspected them, nice handle, big and easy to grip. Rinsed them off and put them on the magnetic knife rack.
This evening I cooked a frozen pizza. Took the chef's knife down (it's huge) ... Read More

- Excellent for the money
I have not owned expensive knives before, though I have used those belong to others. These are a tremendous improvement over your set of department store cheapo knives.
My primary complaint with these knives are that the lip on the handle of the two smaller knives extends below the blade, making it difficult to cut down against a cutting board. Because of that, I pretty much always use the big knife. Maybe I am not doing something right though, what do I know.
