At 3-1/2 quart capacity, this is a most versatile saucepan. It's also incredibly easy to use and own. Have you ever found yourself in that awkward position of straining cooked food - while cooking? This saucepan incorporates a unique design that integrates a built-in strainer to reduce the fuss and mess of meal preparation. The lid, made of see-through, break resistant glass, has a deep rim with optional straining holes. To strain, line the holes up with the pan's pour spouts and strain with ease. For covered cooking, rotate the lid to close the holes and moisture will stay inside the pan. To pour, remove the lid and use the pour spouts that are built into the pan body. Regardless of these convenient features, you've got a pan made of even heating hard anodized for great cooking performance plus a rugged nonstick surface inside and out for stress-free cleaning.

- A very useful pan. Sturdy and great nonstick.
I use this pan all the time for pasta for 2-3 or raw veggie cooking. Nice design- good, sturdy lid.Easy to handle when straining. It has become one of the most used pots/pans in my kitchen.I grab for it for several uses. Clean up is basically a quick wipe. I have had this pot for about 6 mo. & I hope the nonstick surface holds up for a couple of years at least.

This pot is slimmer than a lot of saucepans but it's a bit taller. The material is thinner, so the pot doesn't weigh as much as the commercial grade version. The lid doesn't lock, but most people should figure that based on the price. Straining can be difficult but easily solved by leaning the pot against the edge of the sink over a potholder so it doesn't slip. It's a good pot for the price, non-stick, tall, handle is sturdy.

For Christmas, 2007, I purchased the Anolon Advanced 12-piece cookware that included two other pieces for free.I chose the Anolon Advanced after reading many reviews first.I wanted this investment to last me a lifetime. This Christmas, 2008, I asked for the 3 1/2 quart covered straining saucepan because I want to keep adding pieces to the set as well as this pan makes sense and is practical.

VERY versatile. Just the right size. Easy cleanup.
The straining lid works well, but 3-1/2 quarts of pasta and liquid can be a little heavy (so make sure you can manage it BEFORE its boiling :-)
If you are not going "gourmet" this is the PERFECT Mac-n-Cheese pan.
Watch for deals: I bought this in store for about [...] from another vender (who regularly has 20% off a single item coupons)
