Krups FDD912 Expert Waffle Maker with Rotary System
from: Krups
Product Description:
Krups FDD912-76 Expert Rotary Waffle Maker
Amazon.com Review:
This unusual rotating waffle maker is sure to elicit admiration from brunch guests. Made of brushed stainless steel with black accents, the unit not only looks elegant but cooks professionally. After ladling the batter into the deep nonstick bottom plate, the top is firmly closed. After ten seconds, by means of the insulated handle, the waffle maker is rotated upside down and allowed to cook for the remainder of the required time (recipes and times are included in the user guide). The result: two perfect 1-1/4-inch-thick Belgium waffles, crisp on the outside, moist on the inside. A dial features variable browning settings, and two lights indicate when the waffle maker is on and when to add batter. Two curved fixed legs keep the maker upright and a drip tray fits between them to collect any batter overflow. A release button on the handle allows it to collapse for storage. Measuring 7-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches, the cook plates can be wiped clean or conveniently removed and placed in the dishwasher. With the handle collapsed, the waffle maker measures 13 by 8-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches and is covered by a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

- Not perfect :(
The waffles come out ok, but the back waffles cook differently than the front waffle. Also, I wish there were a timer that beeped when the waffle is done.My waffles seem to need 3:15 minutes. The bottom cooks differently than the bottom.Sometimes, you can see a round heat ring in the middle of the 2 waffles.I think it's from the heating coil or something. But, the waffles come out tasty, crispy, and fluffy.Too bad it's just not perfect.:(

- Krups Waffle maker FDD912
This is the best Waffle Maker I have ever used. I don't know why Krups discontinued making it. But, if you can find one snatch it up.
To make the perfect Waffle.
Put one measuring cup full of batter in the middle of the waffle iron. Close the lid and you should have 2 perfect waffles everytime. 3 minutes is a perfect time for the waffle at setting number 6.

- Heavy duty & Great cooking power
I have owned this for a few years now and love it! You need to work with your batter a little to get the consistency just right and the temperature control set perfectly for it but hey! you have to do that with anything. Very pleased with the quality and ease of use.

- Poor Quality
I purchased this Waffle Maker due to the high reviews.
However, the spring clips designed to hold the detachable waffle irons in place appeared to have been misaligned and crushed during assembly. This error caused the top iron to come loose and swing toward me as you open the machine. A very unsafe and dangerous problem when the irons are hot.
I left a detailed complaint on krups website but have not received any feedback

- I love this wafflemaker!
I han an older belgin waffle maker, it stopped working and my husband wasn't happy, he's come to like waffles. I started looking for one, I kinda wanted one that was easier to clean and found this one, I read all the reviews, and decided this was the way to go, I'm glad I did! It's not perfect, I would like it to have a timer or a light that lets you know when the waffle is done, but........the waffles are good and it is fun to use.
