According to a Shop World Kitchen email from March 2009, the "Sandstone" pattern is NOT being discontinued.I'm a Corelle convert having finally overcome an inherited snobby attitude towards dinnerware.Last fall I bought several place settings in the "Wine berries" pattern and started coordinating it with Sandstone.The plain ivory color is lovely, works in all seasons, and it goes with basically everything including my Johnson Brothers Friendly Village plates and all my place mats and tablecloths. ... I was looking for a set of dishes that I could use everyday and also during the Christmas holiday since I entertain a lot.The set I had before had a spring pattern on it and it was also made by Corelle, which I loved but they looked out of place during the holidays. I didn't want to buy "Christmas" dishes to store away all year long so the Corelle Sandstone set was perfect.My holiday table looked very elegant and I received many comments on how beautiful it looked. - Might Be A Great Product, But I'll Never Know
My 2nd shipment of broken Corelle Livingware arrived yesterday direct from Amazon. The rattle of loose fractured pieces was obvious as soon as I picked up the package, just like my 1st damaged shipment.You would think Amazon would learn how to pack this product properly since others have mentioned receiving this product in damaged condition also.

I've had one set of these dishes for five years and just purchased another matching set to go with my larger apartment.They are pretty difficult to break - I have a history of breaking dishes while washing them, and I've never broken any of these, despite wearing slippery gloves while rinsing them.The plain, dark white design is great for table setting - it highlights your pretty napkins and/or centerpiece without giving the table that cluttered look.
