- Great if you don't microwave...
I bought this set to have glass containers for my salad instead of plastic and to have dishes which worked in both the refrigerator and microwave. They functioned beautifully for about a year. I loved them so much I bought sets for two relatives. This year, however, I have had two of the three *Pop* in the microwave, when they were used for heating for 1 1/2 minutes. This was terribly disappointing as I loved these dishes and used them daily. I am having a terrible time trying to get Bormioli to ... Read More

I purchased both square and round sets of Bormioli Rocco last month. They are both excellent for storage. The square set is more practical as it occupies less space.

I wish I had an additional sixteen sizes of these although these are the most used sizes for an average family.Heavy, well made - even the lids.The storage seals tightly and they freeze well and thaw and cook splendidly.Freezer to microwave - Very attractive heavy glass and serving dishes as well.

These small glass storage containers are just right for storing left overs.I don't know if they are microwave proof--I didn't keep the paperwork but it doesn't matter to me.
I like the frosted lids which match my large storage bowls also from Frigovere, but they do break easily rather than the Pyrex which are sturdier and cheaper but they have a dark blue not so nice looking lid.I stayed with the matching set, but next time I will go with the Pyrex for better value and durability. ... I'd bought some Frigoverre pieces long ago, and could no longer find them in my local stores. They are perfect for leftovers. Just be sure not to warm them too quickly; I cracked one dish this way. Now if I put them directly from the fridge to the microwave, I warm for a minute and let rest briefly before setting the full cooking time. FYI, the round pieces are easier to wash than the squares and rectangles.
