- Wish I had not bought this
My friend had bought the Saladacco spiral slicer, NOT Joyce Chen's and she loved it.I thought I was purchasing that also, but got this product instead. My husband and I both find it very difficult to manage.Forget the fact that the veggies have to be cut to certain lengths, etc.The main thing is that the teeth that cut the veggies to make them into thin angel hair "pasta" only make an impression in the zucchini, and cut them rather thick. The plastic housing is difficult to get apart, and ... - Product Changed By Manufacturer - Not what it used to be
I purchased a Joyce Chen Spiral Slicer last year and loved it for making wonderful angel hair "pasta" from zucchini, in fact I loved this gadget so much I recently bought six more to give as gifts to family and friends. Was then very upset when I opened one of the "new" slicers and tried to use it only to discover that the manufacturer had changed the unit and replaced the metal shredding blade with a plastic "blade".I believe they may have had liability concerns about the sharpness of the metal ... - this thing works!!I
I'm usually delighted in a product that I've read generally positive things about and then ordered from a site that had some negative reviews...this is no exception. The negative comments have all been proven wrong by my use of this wonderful device that has given me a whole new dimension of eating in the world of raw foods. Please don't hesitate to purchase this Saladacco if you want to taste amazingly appetizing noodles made with raw zucchinis!

- Plastic Saladacco
This is so frustrating. Some Saladaccos come with all metal blades, like it should.Mine, on the other hand, came with a plastic shredding blade. The Saladacco creates beautiful spiral slices, but it also can make thin strips from those spirals with the additional blades.Well, my additional blades are little plastic rivots...It can't even shred a zucchini. My mom bought 2, 1 came with the plastic piece, the other with the good metal piece.WTF?And there is no way of knowing which you'll get! ... - Decent
This product is decent for those who are new to spiral slicing and gets the job done. It can become frustrating at times when trying to get a grip on the vegetables once in the container, but it works.
