I got these gloves because I have teenagers who are learning to cook.They're afraid of using just a hotpad or smaller cloth gloves when reaching in the oven.I think this is good for them, but I find it too stiff to manipulate my grasp when I'm cooking.Overall, good protection, but experienced cooks may want something more flexible.
