This electric pepper mill has a modern shape that is beautiful to behold and and a superior grinding mechanism that meets the expectations of picky chefs. The mill has a brushed 18/10 stainless steel body with a glass window for monitoring how many peppercorns remain in the chamber. Pressing the button on top of the electric pepper mill commences grinding and pepper output. A lamp at the bottom lights up during grinding so that, even at a dimly lit dining table, you can always see how much pepper is landing on your green salad or salmon fillet. The grinder has a patented carbon steel grinding gear for long-lasting use and a dial on the underside of the mill controls the fineness of the grind (clockwise for fine and counter-clockwise for coarse). A plastic lid covers the grinder opening when the mill is at rest on a table or countertop. The electric pepper mill runs on six AAA batteries (not included) and the locking housing cover twists and lifts to expose the battery housing for installation. The battery housing also easily lifts from the base to refill the supply chamber with peppercorns. Very little grind adjustment.It completely failed after about a year.Since then I have discovered that Cook's Illustrated won't suggest any electric mill.Perhaps as us "Baby Boomers" get older and develop arthritis someone will build a really good electric pepper grinder.

I absolutely love this peppermill.I get so many compliments on it and now I buy it as a gift for everyone!It has a light feature and the grinder works impeccably.The only downfall would be it uses a lot of batteries (6 AAA) and they do run out pretty quick.

If you'd asked me a month after I bought this pepper mill, I'd swear by it.Now, six months later, it doesn't work at all.The grinder jams after about two seconds of grinding.Don't know if the motor is dead, too weak to grind or just jammed somewhere.If I'd paid $10 for it, I'd say it had a good life, but for the price it's just not worth it.
You may get a longer life out of yours, and I hope you do, but don't count on it.

My husband for his birthday asked for an electric peppermill. The first place I came to shop was amazon.com. As I looked at all of the selections I came across the MIU Electric Peppermill. This is a wonderful product and both my husband and I enjoy using it. It is sleek, easy to use and looks great on your kitchen counter.
