Product Description:
1ST SEASON. HE'S GOT IT ALL A LOVING WIFE, GOOD FRIENDS AND A SUCCESSFUL CAREER AND A GOOD HOME WHAT COULD GO WRONG FOR LARRY DAVID?

Amazon.com:
Like its fellow HBO series Sex and the City, this half-hour comedy broke some TV rules and went from critics' darling to an award-winning series in three years. Curb Your Enthusiasm is the brainchild of star-creator Larry David who co-created Seinfeld and was the basis for the easily rattled George Costanza (who was played by Jason Alexander). Like George, David has a tendency to speak too much, blow things out of proportion, and, most often, fail in the end (and often liking it that way). David's new show is also like its predecessor: it's about "nothing" except following the day-to-day ramblings of a sometime writer and comic (this time in L.A.). Eternal questions stemming from universal daily dilemmas are honed to perfect comedic absurdity. A notable exception is the show is only scripted by plot; much of the action is improvised. The first season starts with a one-hour mockumentary following David's return to stand-up for the first time in years; the other 10 episodes follow a more traditional sit-com setup.

David plays "himself" (as does his friend, Richard Lewis) although his manager and wife are played by comedians Jeff Garlin and Cheryl Hines. Although this first season is a comedic gem, one can't take more than an episode or two at a time--it's acidic, biting comedy. The episodes are often built like a house of cards, which the irritable David will surely collapse by the end. Like another caustic TV character, Dabney Colman's Buffalo Bill (1983-84), Larry David is not for everybody. --Doug Thomas

Average Rating: out of 5 stars
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not as Good as Seinfeld
First of all, this show is mildly entertaining and some of the twists are funny.I also like the realistic diaologue.People interrupt and ignore one another and some threads of conversation go nowhere.

The bad has to start with Richard Lewis.I don't know in what universe this guy is funny or likable but I really can't stand the sight of him. Also, Larry David seems to have a need to constantly mock Christians, something that Jerry Seinfeld never did.It seems that the whole culture ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - unpleasant viewing
The Seinfeld show specialized in getting its characters into situations that were funny and uncomfortable, but chiefly funny."Curb Your Enthusiasm" similarly delights in getting its characters into situations that are funny and uncomfortable, but chiefly uncomfortable.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of the Best TV Shows Ever
Curb is basically a continuation of Seinfeld... if you love Seinfeld, you'll absolutely love Curb.

Larry David = George, and HBO gave Curb the oppertunity for longer R rated shows.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Start to a wonderful Series
I have watched seasons 2 ,3 & 4 of Curb your enthusiasm. But season 1 is the funniest of them all.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Worst Ever Show - I thought it would never end.Boring.
Since I paid for the entire series, I forced myself to watch it to the end only to find there was no ending. It is supposedly mildly amusing, but mostly boring and stretched out and ridiculous.I think it was written by some elementary students.I only bought it because of so many good reviews.I guess I just don't get it.
